Job Description
Key Responsibilities as an ESM Systems Engineer
- Provide Enterprise-level support for Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and Windows File Services in a global environment.
- Perform problem Management and Root Cause Analysis for Corporate Identity Management in a large-scale Department of Defense setting.
- Serve as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, providing guidance and direction in the resolution of escalated issues and complex problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Enterprise tools, and third-party software.
- Coordinate and implement patch management, monthly Windows update deployments to Servers and Workstations, analyzing SCCM / Intune log files, application packaging, and distribution.
- Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
- Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
- Troubleshoot servers and infrastructure equipment, assess networking requirements and provide solutions.

Qualifications and Certifications for ESM Systems Engineers
- An active Secret Clearance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IS, Engineering, or a related field.
- Adherence to DoD 8570.01-M, including at least one baseline certification (e.g., CCNP Security, CASP+, Security+, GCED, GCIH, CISA, CCSP, CISSP) and one computing environment (CE) certification (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience (10 preferred) in managing Enterprise-level information systems.
