Your Day-to-Day as a Stewarding Supervisor
- Supervise daily stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, stores, back-of-house areas, and F&B outlets
- Ensure proper use, cleaning, storage, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glassware
- Monitor dishwashing and waste management processes to ensure efficiency and hygiene compliance
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards in line with local regulations and IHG policies
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate duties to stewarding team members
- Support chefs and F&B teams to ensure uninterrupted operations during service periods and events
- Maintain par stock levels of cleaning supplies and operating equipment, coordinate requisitions with purchasing
- Identify maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering for timely repairs
- Train and coach stewarding colleagues on correct procedures, safety practices, and brand standards
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste in line with sustainability and environmental guidelines
- Assist in inventories, audits, and inspections related to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Lead by example, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a positive work environment
What We Need From You
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in stewarding operations, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage
- Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
