Reservoir Engineer Advisor

The Reservoir Engineer Advisor will be responsible for setting and achieving the appraisal/development program of the new blocks. The Reservoir Engineer Advisor will work closely with geo-modeler to develop and evaluate opportunities to conduct well intervention, drilling opportunities, field optimization strategies, data acquisition and depletion options.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain simulation models for Oman North fields.Identify and evaluate field development opportunities and formulate FDP's for Oman North Blocks.Contribute to preparation of technical documentation for various subsurface projects.Develop production forecasts, budget estimates, and estimate reserves.Provide simulation engineering support and field development strategy for new discovered fields.Evaluate EOR projects.Provide simulation engineering support with new discovered field in North Oman.Mentor/coach reservoir engineers in dynamic modeling.Assist with organized in house reservoir engineering training and support.Lead in development of unconventional reservoirs.Participate in various planning activities including reserves update, budget process, and capital post audits.Prepare and participate in various technical presentations for Oxy management, partners, and government.Participate in relevant internal/external workshops, peer reviews and conferences.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.Minimum of 15 years of reservoir engineering experience.Must have at least 10 years' experience in reservoir simulation.Experience in classical reservoir engineering methods is required.Experience in reserves estimation and reserves booking is required.Preferred SkillsExperience in reservoir simulation modeling using tNav or CMG.Experience in corporate planning is desirable.Experience in petroleum experts models (MBAL/PROSPER) is desirable.Economic evaluation skills; experience using PEEP is desirable.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent PC skills (especially with Microsoft Excel).

As the largest independent oil producer operating in the country, we are committed to safe and efficient operations while reducing our carbon footprint and helping others do the same.Position SummaryThe Geologist Advisor will provide regional geological and geophysical evaluations.Key ResponsibilitiesUse of 3D seismic attributes and inversions to construct advance structural modeling and properties modeling.Analyze faults and fracture patterns in clastic and carbonate systems, integrating core and image log data.Interpret regional tectonic frameworks, basin types, and structural styles to place fault patterns within the regional stress context, based on seismic understanding.Interpret sedimentary sequences and bodies using cores and logs to identify and map lithofacies in relation to depositional environments.Apply reservoir geochemistry to identify biodegradation and thermal alteration processes for recognizing bitumen presence.Link rock typing to porosity–permeability relationships and apply appropriate saturation height functions.Build comprehensive 3D geological models, including full structural frameworks, property mapping, and lithofacies distribution consistent with depositional environments.Reserve evaluation and defining uncertainties in volumetrics estimates and ranges for different types of reservoir (conventional and unconventional).Mentor junior geologists in developing their individual development plans and teach advanced geology courses.Prepare and plan the drilling of appraisal and development wells, including setting drilling trajectories, geosteering horizontal wells, and conducting post-drilling evaluations.Geological contribution to reservoir management surveillance reviews.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology.A minimum of 15 years' experience as geo-modeler.Advanced regional geological depositional mapping experience in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs.Advanced 3D geological modeling skills and experience.Advanced use of 3D seismic attributes for advanced structural framework construction.Advanced use of reservoir geochemistry.Advanced workstation experience (Petrel, well correlation, etc.).Proficient in application of sequence stratigraphy.

Also, to carry out switching operations on transmission, distribution, and end elements, particularly in the high voltage processes.
