The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing process safety systems to ensure safe operations within oil and gas facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to process safety.
  • Lead process safety audits, inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety considerations into design and operational procedures.
  • Deliver safety training and awareness programs focused on process safety topics.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process safety and prepare reports for management review.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through proactive engagement and communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in process safety within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Core expertise in Process Safety, Risk Management, RCA, Safety Management Systems, Incident Reporting, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of process safety management standards such as OSHA PSM, API RP 754, and IEC standards.
  • Proven ability to conduct hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO, API, CSP, HAZOP or equivalent process safety qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
